If you feel like you’re “swinging at air”, it’s usually not your damage. It’s Accuracy. Low Accuracy makes grinding slower, messier, and more dangerous because mobs slip out of knockback and get extra chances to hit you back.
What Accuracy Does
Accuracy affects your chance to land hits.
When it’s too low, you’ll notice:
- More misses
- Monsters recover from knockback sooner
- They walk into you (touch damage) and start trading hits
- Some mobs get more windows to cast spells or punish mistakes
The practical takeaway: missing costs time and potions.
Where Accuracy Comes From
Accuracy matters for almost every job except Magicians, who rely far less on it.
Your total Accuracy is usually built from:
- Base stats (DEX, LUK)
- Equipment (flat Accuracy, plus DEX/LUK)
- Skills & buffs (Mastery skills, Bless, Focus, etc.)
Classic stat conversion (quick reference)
| Job | DEX → Accuracy | LUK → Accuracy |
|---|---|---|
| Warrior | 0.8 | 0.5 |
| Bowman | 0.6 | 0.5 |
| Thief | 0.6 | 0.5 |
| Magician | 0.3 | 0.3 |
Warrior Accuracy Formula
For Warriors:
Accuracy = (DEX × 0.8) + (LUK × 0.5) + bonuses
“Bonuses” includes mastery skills, equipment Accuracy, and temporary buffs.
Quick Newbie Check
A fresh Warrior roll like:
- STR 12
- DEX 5
- LUK 4
- INT 4
Starts at roughly:
(5 × 0.8) + (4 × 0.5) = 6 Accuracy
So yes, early misses are normal. You fix it with levels, gear, and a bit of planning.
How Much Accuracy You Need
To hit a monster consistently (near 100%):
Required Accuracy = (55 + 2 × level difference) × monster avoidability ÷ 15
Notes:
- Level difference = (monster level − your level)
- If you’re the same level or higher, use 0
- This calculates required Accuracy (not DEX)
Example: Can I Train on Taurospear?
Let’s say you want Taurospear:
- Monster level: 75
- Avoidability: 30
- Your level: 70
- Level difference: 5
Required Accuracy:
(55 + 2×5) × 30 ÷ 15 = 120
Now compare that number with your current Accuracy total. If you’re short, you’ll still hit sometimes, but you’ll feel the misses.

Fixing Low Accuracy
If you’re missing too often, here are the realistic solutions:
- Level up (biggest impact because it reduces level penalty)
- Use buffs (Bless / Focus / Accuracy potions for a temporary patch)
- Upgrade gear (Accuracy scrolls, DEX/LUK pieces, helms like Zakum)
Training Rule of Thumb
If your misses are frequent enough to break knockback rhythm, your grind speed collapses.
Fix hit rate first. Damage can come after.
